Trios Freebird Ski Poles

The Black Crows Trios Freebird is a three-section telescopic backcountry pole purpose-built for skiers who frequently need to stow their poles in a pack: splitboarders, ski mountaineers and backcountry skiers on technical objectives.

The three-piece design breaks down to just 41.5cm — compact enough for any pack pocket — while deploying quickly and securely thanks to the Power Lock 3.0 locking mechanism. The upper section uses an 18mm carbon fibre tube for maximum lightness, with the lower sections constructed in 7075-T6 aluminium to reduce the risk of shattering on impact. An extended EVA foam grip allows hand-low technique on steep ascents, and two interchangeable baskets are included — a 90mm powder basket and a 60mm piste basket — making the Trios genuinely suitable across all seasons and conditions.

A tungsten carbide tip and anodised aluminium top cap complete a pole that is engineered for reliability in demanding alpine environments.
