The K2 Recon 120 Zonal BOA steps up both flex and closure technology from the Recon 110 — offering a stiffer 120 flex for advanced skiers and K2’s Zonal BOA system, which provides independent zone-by-zone adjustment of the boot closure rather than a single dial tightening the whole lower boot simultaneously.

This zonal capability allows the boot to be tightened or loosened with precision in the instep zone and ankle zone independently, producing a fit that is far harder to achieve with conventional buckle systems or single-dial BOA. The Powerlite Shell is fully heat-mouldable at an authorised K2 dealer, and the P-Series liner provides a performance-oriented heat-mouldable fit. At 120 flex this boot suits advanced resort skiers who need meaningful stiffness for high-speed carving, aggressive all-mountain skiing and demanding varied terrain without the weight or complexity of a freeride-touring boot like the Mindbender.
