Poisson Skis 2027

The Line Poisson is the headline new ski of the 2026/27 season — a brand-new freeride fish designed to slot between the directional Sakana and the powder-focussed Pescado, bringing a wider, more powerful character to the Line freeride concept collection.

The name is French for ‘fish’, and the Poisson is very much a fish ski: shaped for powder, but backed by titanal and a firm construction that means it also cuts through harder snow with real authority. The defining shape feature is the Step Tail — a raised step in the tail that breaks the running surface at a point, shortening effective edge on hardpack for a playful, loose feel while simultaneously dropping the tail in powder to raise the nose and increase float. On firm snow the ski rides like a shorter, snappier board; in soft snow it opens up into a surfy, directional arc.

Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive is Line’s name for the titanal laminate in the Poisson — a full sheet of metal that delivers the edge hold, torsional stiffness and high-speed precision that powder skis usually sacrifice in favour of float. The Aspen/Paulownia wood core is a lightweight blend that keeps the swing weight manageable, and Thick-Cut Sidewalls contribute additional edge grip and vibration dampening over the contact zone. Bio-Resin bonding improves structural integrity while reducing the environmental footprint of the construction. Fatty Base (1.7mm sintered) and Fatty Edges (2.5mm × 2.2mm) are 30% thicker than standard, making the Poisson significantly more durable against rocks and tuning wear.
