The Leki Gate Guard Closed Cobra is a closed-design race pole guard for slalom use — designed to protect the pole shaft from direct gate impact during slalom training and racing.

A closed guard wraps completely around the pole shaft rather than attaching to one side, providing maximum coverage and the highest level of impact protection. The Cobra name references the guard’s distinctive profile, which is shaped to deflect gates efficiently and reduce the deceleration caused by a pole catching or dragging on a gate. Compatible with Leki’s WCR racing poles, the Gate Guard Closed Cobra installs at the guard zone of the shaft.
